STALKER 2 showed signs of life again

GSC Game World, which created the STALKER series, which is largely responsible for the worldwide interest in Eastern European aesthetics in games, has suddenly appeared on social networks. The company launched a marketing campaign for STALKER 2 and shared the first image since the game was announced in May 2018.

STALKER 2 showed signs of life again

The activity began in January when STALKER's official Facebook page began sharing 8-year-old memories from its own news feed. Dozens of posts have been posted there in the last few days containing reworked and STALKER-related fan content from all over the internet. The team then posted a new illustration on Facebook and Twitter with the updated logo.

Fans who visit the game's website have found a new music track there that can be downloaded along with the poster itself. The audio file goes at number 14, so we can assume that the soundtrack includes at least 13 more tracks. Although it may not mean anything.

The original STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl was released in 2007. The action of the first-person shooter was set in an alternative world, in the exclusion zone that arose as a result of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986. The project was well received in the gaming community, earned a cult status and received two sequels in the form of "STALKER: Clear Sky" and "STALKER: Call of Pripyat".

In 2011, the founder of GSC Game World Sergey Grigorovich unexpectedly closed the company. After that, the developers decided to return to the industry with "Cossacks 3", a new part of the strategy that at one time made the team famous in Russia. As before, the STALKER 2 website does not mention platforms. It was previously stated that the action will be released in 2021.
