Last month, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy A10, A30 and A50 smartphones, which became the first representatives of the updated Galaxy A series. The first, but not the last this year: one of the likely candidates for joining the family was the Galaxy A20, which, judging by the numerical index in the name, should have been located at the lower limit of the middle price segment. True, there was little information about the supposed new product until Samsung unexpectedly announced the model in Russia, revealing its characteristics and cost.
The recommended retail price of the Samsung Galaxy A20 is 13 rubles. Like the older A990 and A50, which received price tags of 30 and 19 rubles, respectively, the βtwentyβ is equipped with a 990-inch Super AMOLED display. However, the matrix used here is different, with a resolution reduced to 15 Γ 990 pixels. At the top of the screen there is a cutout for the 6,4-megapixel front camera, but if the other two representatives of the series have a U-shaped cutout (Infinity-U), then in the A1560 it has a shape that the company calls Infinity-V. A similar V-shaped cape can be seen in the Galaxy M720, which debuted in January 8.
The hardware basis of the Galaxy A20 is the Exynos 7884 single-chip system, two cores of which operate at a frequency of 1,6 GHz, and six at 1,35 GHz. The volumes of RAM and built-in flash memory are 3 and 32 GB, respectively, there is a microSD expansion slot that supports cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB.
The smartphone is powered by a 4000 mAh battery. Among other stated specifications, we also note the presence of a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel, an NFC chip for contactless payments and a dual rear camera 13 MP (f/1,9) + 5 MP (f/2,2). The dimensions of the device are 158,4 Γ 74,7 Γ 7,8 mm.
