Folding smartphone Samsung Galaxy Fold sometimes fails in just a day or two after the start of use. This was reported by several experts to whom the company provided the Galaxy Fold to publish a review.
In particular, Mark Gurman, who writes articles for Bloomberg, said that the Galaxy Fold he received for writing a review completely broke after just a couple of days, noting at the same time that he accidentally removed the protective film from the screen.
YouTube tech reviewer Marques Brownlee had the same problem, also removing the protective film. By the way, a Samsung representative warned on Wednesday that this should not be done. However, the film was not removed from the device provided by the South Korean company to the CNBC resource, but it also broke down two days later.
When opening the smartphone, the left side of the flexible display now has a constant flashing.
In turn, the editor-in-chief of The Verge resource, Dieter Bohn, said that his smartphone has a defective hinge with a “slight bulge”, which leads to slight distortion of the image on the screen.
Samsung began accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy Fold smartphone over the weekend, though it didn't last long. Apparently, the supply of new items is limited to a small volume, at least until the start of sales, scheduled for April 26.
Samsung has yet to comment on reports of Galaxy Fold failures.
