The mention of the device, as stated in the publication of XDA-Developers, was found in the firmware code of the flexible Galaxy Fold smartphone. This device, we recall, will go on sale in the European market in May at an estimated price of 2000 euros.

But back to the Galaxy Tab S5. It is reported that it will be based on the Snapdragon 855 processor developed by Qualcomm. This chip combines eight Kryo 485 computing cores with clock speeds from 1,80 GHz to 2,84 GHz, an Adreno 640 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X4 LTE 24G modem.

Other technical characteristics of the tablet, unfortunately, have not yet been disclosed. But we can assume that the device will receive a high-quality screen measuring about 10 inches diagonally. The amount of RAM will be at least 4 GB, the capacity of the flash drive is 64 GB.

Note that in the last quarter of 2018, 14,07 million tablets (including devices with a detachable keyboard) were sold in the EMEA region (Europe, including Russia, the Middle East and Africa). This is 9,6% less than the result for the same period in 2017, when shipments were 15,57 million units. The largest player in this market is Samsung: from October to December inclusive, this company sold 3,59 million tablets, occupying 25,5% of the industry.
