Samsung will unveil a premium, all-bezel-less TV at CES 2020

According to online sources, the South Korean company Samsung Electronics will present a frameless premium TV at the annual Consumer Electronics Show, which will be held early next month in the United States.

The source says that at a recent internal meeting, Samsung management approved the launch of mass production of frameless TVs. It is expected to be launched as early as February next year.

The main feature of the new TVs is that they have a completely frameless design. It is noteworthy that at present such models have not yet been presented on the market. This was achieved thanks to changes in the technology of connecting the TV panel to the main body. To implement this, Samsung collaborated with the South Korean companies Shinsegye Engineering and Taehwa Precision, which supplied equipment and some components.

“Unlike other so-called “zero bezel” products, which actually have a frame, Samsung's product is truly bezel-less. Samsung was the first company in the world to put such an extreme design into practice,” said one of the developers involved in the project. He also noted that the TV's bezel-less design had been criticized by some Samsung developers as they feared the final product would be too fragile.

Unfortunately, any technical characteristics regarding frameless Samsung TVs were not announced. We only know that the manufacturer intends to release models with a diagonal of 65 inches and larger. Probably, more detailed information about the new Samsung TVs will appear after CES 2020.
