Samsung will continue to buy LCD TVs from Sharp

Quite recently it became is known Samsung Display's intention to completely stop producing liquid crystal (LCD) panels in South Korea and China by the end of this year in order to fully focus on the production of AMOLED and QLED displays. However, the company is not going to completely abandon the use of liquid crystal panels.

According to DigiTimes resource sources, the South Korean company will continue to produce devices with LCD panels, purchasing them from the Japanese manufacturer Sharp.

It is reported that Sharp will be the sole supplier of LCD screens for Samsung devices. According to DigiTimes informants, Samsung will mainly purchase large-sized LCD panels from the Japanese company, which will be used in manufactured TVs.
