Samsung has published the cost of repairing the screen of smartphones of its flagship Galaxy S10 series. Repair prices are quite high, but Samsung’s rates are still lower than the price tags for repairing Apple smartphones.
In particular, Samsung published the cost of repairing the front and back panels of smartphones. Since the Galaxy S10 has a glass back, it is likely that someone could break it.
The company will charge $199 for a screen replacement for the Galaxy S10e, $249 for the Galaxy S10 and $269 for the Galaxy S10+. As for the rear panel, Samsung will charge users a flat fee of $99 to replace it on the Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10+.
In turn, Apple charges its customers $199 to replace the LCD panel of the iPhone XR, $279 to replace the OLED screen of the iPhone XS, and $329 to replace the OLED panel of the iPhone XS Max.
Apple's prices for replacing the back panels of smartphones cannot be compared with those for the Galaxy S10. The company will charge $399 to replace the back of an iPhone XR, $549 to replace the back of an iPhone XS, and a whopping $599 to replace the back of the flagship iPhone XS Max.
