Sberbank and the Сognitive Technologies group of companies have entered into a cooperation agreement to develop unmanned technologies and artificial intelligence tools.

Cognitive Technologies is already implementing projects to create autonomous control systems for agricultural machinery, railway locomotives and trams. In addition, the company develops components for unmanned vehicles.

As part of the agreement, Sberbank and Cognitive Technologies will form the Cognitive Pilot company. The share of Sberbank in this structure will be 30%, and 70% will belong to the founders and management of Сognitive Technologies. The deal is expected to close before the end of this year.

Cognitive Pilot specialists will work in several key areas. One of them is advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) based on artificial intelligence technologies. In addition, autonomous control systems for ground vehicles and industrial devices will be created.

Self-driving car platforms will use computer vision tools based on deep learning neural networks and millimeter-wave radar sensors. This will ensure high accuracy of work in various weather and climatic conditions.
