It is possible that next year Sberbank will announce its own βsmartβ column with an intelligent voice assistant.
The new project is reported by RBC, citing information received from informed sources. It is noted that the work is still non-public, and therefore official information about the device is not disclosed.
The smart speaker will "live" a voice assistant, which is being created by specialists from the Center for Speech Technologies (MDG group of companies). In March, remember that STC is implementing a project to develop an intellectual assistant "Barbara". This system is expected to be able to recognize users by voice.
Experts believe that the smart speaker, if released, will become one of the core elements of the Sberbank ecosystem. However, the bank itself has not yet commented on the situation.
Canalys estimates that 26,1 million smart speakers were sold worldwide in the second quarter of this year. This is 55,4% more than in the second quarter of 2018.
