On June 25, Sberbank launched a money transfer service from credit cards to debit cards between its customers. Sberbank launches money transfer service from credit cards

Instant money transfers from credit to debit cards of Sberbank can be made using a phone or card number. They are subject to the same commission as for withdrawing cash from an ATM - 3%, but not less than 390 rubles. The amount of the commission does not depend on the region where the service is provided.

Sberbank also reported that the interest-free period, which is up to 50 days for all Sberbank credit cards, does not apply to transfers of credit funds. When sending money, the sender will have to immediately pay interest on the loan.

According to the chairman of the board of the National Payment Council, Alma Obaeva, this service can help Sberbank reduce the cost of servicing ATMs, as some customers will stop using them to transfer money from a credit card to a debit one.

According to Sergey Grishunin, senior manager of the risk management department at Deloitte, the new service will gain popularity only if the commission is canceled and there is a preferential interest rate.
