A storage failure rendered more than 44 Debian project servers unavailable

Debian project developers warned about a significant failure in the infrastructure that provides development and maintenance of the distribution. Due to problems in the storage system, several dozen project servers located at the UBC site were disabled. The preliminary list contains 44 servers, but the list is not complete.

Recovery requires power-switching manipulations, but attempts to access the storage system have so far not crowned success due to restrictions related to COVID19 (access to outsiders in the data center is closed, and technical support staff mainly work from home). It is expected that through the employee the necessary actions will be completed at the earliest in 7 hours.

Services affected: salsa.debian.org (Git hosting), monitoring system, quality control components, i18n.debian.org, SSO (single sign on), bugs-master.debian.org, mail relay, primary web server for backports, main autobuild server, debdelta.debian.net, tracker.debian.org,
ssh.debian.org, people.debian.org, jenkins, appstream metadata generator, manpages.debian.org, buildd, historical.packages.debian.org.

Update: Store operation succeeded reestablish without physical presence. Disabled services are returned to the stand.
