Scythe Fuma 2: a large cooling system that does not interfere with memory modules

The Japanese company Scythe continues to update its cooling systems, and this time it has prepared a new cooler Fuma 2 (SCFM-2000). The novelty, like the original model, is a "double tower", but differs in the form of radiators and new fans.

The novelty is built on six copper heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm, which are covered with a nickel layer. The tubes are assembled in a nickel-plated copper base, and two aluminum radiators are β€œput on” on them. One of the heatsinks is narrower, while the other is wider, but has a cutout at the bottom, which allows the cooler to be used on motherboards even with large power subsystem heatsinks.

In addition, the novelty has an asymmetric shape, so as not to interfere with the installation of memory modules. As the manufacturer notes, with the Fuma 2 cooling system, even the memory slot closest to the processor socket does not overlap, and you can install a module of any height into it. The dimensions of the novelty are 137 Γ— 131 Γ— 154,5 mm, and it weighs 1 kg. The kit includes mounts for most current Intel and AMD processor sockets, except for the oversized Socket TR4.

The Fuma 2 is powered by a pair of 120mm Kaze Flex 120 PWM fans. Outside, a low-profile 15mm fan is used, which is capable of rotating at speeds from 300 to 1200 rpm, creating an airflow of up to 33,86 CFM with a noise level of up to 23,9 dBA. In turn, a standard 25 mm thick fan is installed between the radiators. It also spins at speeds from 300 to 1200 rpm, yet is capable of delivering up to 51,17 CFM of flow at a noise level of 24,9 dBA. Both fans support PWM control. The kit also comes with brackets for installing a third fan.

The Scythe Fuma 2 cooling system will go on sale by the end of this month. Its cost in the Japanese market will be approximately $63 in terms of the current exchange rate. Note that in Russia the original Scythe Fuma is now sold at a price of 4000 rubles.
