The novelty can function in conditions of zero visibility. The camera is able to "see" hidden objects - in fog and smoke, to detect camouflaged objects and people.

The device is made in a ruggedized housing in accordance with the IP67 standard. This means protection against water and dust. The camera can be submerged to a depth of up to one meter without risk to its further performance.

The device is completely made of Russian components. The development of the camera was carried out in Moscow, and the production was organized at the enterprise of the Shvabe holding - the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation NPO Orion.

“The SWIR camera can be used as part of the ORION-DRONE quadrocopter and the SBKh-10 civilian tracked all-terrain vehicle, also developed by Orion; suitable for operation in the field of marine navigation, control and monitoring of objects, security and research activities,” the creators say.
