The acquisition of NGINX by F5 Networks has been successfully completed

F5 Networks Company announced about successful completion announced in March, the acquisition of NGINX. NGINX has now officially become part of F5 Networks and will be transformed into a separate business unit. The transaction amount was $670 million.

F5 Networks will continue development of the open source NGINX project and support of the community that has formed around it. NGINX products will continue to be distributed under the same brands. Plans include more active development of the NGINX Controller project, in which F5 engineers will also be involved in joint work. The plans also include the integration of NGINX and F5 technologies, as a result of which the release of a new product is expected.
