KLEVV CRAS X RGB series expanded with memory module kits up to 4266 MHz

The KLEVV brand, owned by SK Hynix, has expanded its range of RAM modules designed for use in gaming systems. The CRAS X RGB series will now feature module kits that are guaranteed to operate at up to 4266MHz effective clock speeds.

Previously, only 16 GB (2 Γ— 8 GB) and 32 GB (2 Γ— 16 GB) kits with a frequency of 3200 and 3466 MHz were available in the CRAS X RGB series. Now they will be joined by sets of the same volume, but with a frequency of 3600, 4000 and 4266 MHz. Unfortunately, at the moment, the delays of new products remain unknown. Apparently, they will be announced as part of the upcoming Computex 2019 exhibition, where the presentation of new kits will take place.

In the meantime, it is noted that DDR4-3600 modules are focused on both Intel and AMD platforms. Faster kits are more suitable for Intel platforms, although if the rumors are true, then the new Ryzen 3000 processors on Zen 2 will also be able to β€œuncover” faster RAM. True, at the moment it is also unknown on which SK Hynix chips the new modules are built, and this may also affect compatibility.

In the end, we note that, like the first modules of the CRAS X RGB series, faster new items are equipped with heatsinks with large plastic inserts for RGB lighting. It is here, of course, customizable. Claimed to be compatible with ASUS Aura Sync, ASRock Polychrome RGB, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and MSI Mystic Light lighting control technologies.

The start date of sales, as well as the cost of new sets of KLEVV CRAS X RGB RAM modules, are still unknown.
