Yandex.Taxi launched a new order distribution system that allows you to search for cars in neighboring areas in case of a shortage of cars near the client.
The function appeared in Yandex.Taxi mobile applications for Android and iOS. The system works in automatic mode. When placing an order, the application itself will understand that there are no cars nearby, but they are in the nearby area. In this case, a purple lightning bolt will appear next to the cost of the trip.
Of course, when calling a car from a neighboring area, the order amount will be higher. The markup depends on the city, distance and other details. You can pay for the order, which was taken by the driver from the neighboring area, only by bank transfer.
An order from another area comes to the driver's application "Taximeter" marked "Paid submission". The driver sees the amount of the surcharge and decides whether he wants to take the order or not.
The client can cancel a car call from another area free of charge only within five minutes. The cancellation fee will then be charged to the customer's card. Each trip has its own, but the application will warn about it in advance.
The new order distribution system is already operating throughout Russia.
