Seven Networks, which specializes in the development of wireless mobile technologies, filed a lawsuit against Apple on Wednesday, accusing it of violating 16 patents relating to a number of critical software and hardware features.

The Seven Networks lawsuit, filed in Texas Eastern District Court, alleges that several technologies used by Apple are intellectual property infringement, from Apple's push notification service to automatic downloads in the App Store, background refresh, and the iPhone low battery warning feature.

The lawsuit by Seven Networks, based in Texas and Finland, covers a number of current features of iOS and macOS, as well as devices running these operating systems. The list of devices cited in the Seven Networks lawsuit includes Apple smartphones (from iPhone 4s to iPhone XS Max), all iPad models, all commercially available Mac computers, Apple Watches and Apple servers.
