SilverStone has introduced a very unusual ultra-compact computer case called PI01. The novelty is interesting in that it is not intended for ordinary PCs, but for Raspberry Pi single-board computers.
The novelty is a universal case, and is suitable for almost all models of "blackberry" computer. Compatibility with the Raspberry Pi 3B+, 3B, 2B and 1B+ models is declared, because they have the same dimensions and external ports are located in the same places.
The case is made of aluminum and serves as an additional heatsink for the SoC and microcircuits with network and USB controllers. To transfer heat to the case, the SilverStone PI01 comes with two small aluminum heatsinks that are attached to the chips and the case using the included thermal pads.
The SilverStone PI01 case is made in black. It measures 90 x 62 x 28 mm (volume 0,16 l) and weighs only 55 g. There are holes for attaching to a wall or other vertical surface. The novelty will go on sale April 25. The price of the SilverStone PI01 case for Raspberry Pi will be approximately $20.
