The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation and the Mir payment system have entered into a cooperation agreement. This was announced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2019.
The agreement is aimed at increasing the efficient and profitable use of national payment and service instruments. In particular, the parties intend to stimulate non-cash payments.
This applies primarily to state portals. Thus, the first step in the implementation of the project will be the abolition of the bank commission when paying traffic police fines on the portal of public services with Mir cards. Now the commission is 0,7%.
In addition, the Mir payment system entered into a cooperation agreement with VimpelCom (Beeline brand). This agreement provides for the development of innovative payment services based on predictive data processing technology and artificial intelligence. It is assumed that the results of cooperation will make it possible to form personalized payment offers for MIR cardholders.
“Today, personalization of customer offers is an important trend. I am sure that cooperation with Beeline will allow us to expand this line of business and create products that are most relevant to the end user - the holder of the Mir card, ”says representatives of the payment system.
