The head of The Astronauts Adrian Chmielarz on told and showed what the developers of the looter shooter Witchfire were doing in January.
Khmelazh apologized for the irregularity of updates (the last one came ), but added that this is partly a good sign - the developers are too busy with the game itself.
At the same time, The Astronauts didnβt want to leave those interested without any content at all, so they decided to share some of the Witchfire teamβs January work.

βI say βsomeβ because the rest is not very presentable material - tools, integration with the latest version of UE4, etc. - or a serious spoiler. Taking into account the latter, I cannot show most of the works of our artists,β explained Khmelazh.
In addition to the above screenshots demonstrating the Witchfire lighting system at different times of the day (sunset, night), Khmelazh showed that at this stage of the game's production he could get out of a collision with the local ogre.
Also in The Astronauts commented Witchfire from Destiny. According to Chmielazh, the team was definitely inspired by the shooter mechanics of this game, but as development progressed, it became less and less similar to it.
Witchfire is expected to release on PC (Steam) during 2020, while versions for other platforms have not yet been confirmed. The project has been in development since 2015, but for the first time the game was shown only on .
