The Sapsan-Bekas system disables drones at a distance of more than 6 km

The Avtomatika Concern, which is part of the Rostec State Corporation, presented at the Army-2019 International Military-Technical Forum an advanced Sapsan-Bekas complex designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Sapsan-Bekas is a mobile system based on a compact van. The complex, as noted, is capable of incapacitating civilian and military drones.

"Sapsan-Bekas" is able to monitor the airspace around the clock and recognize air objects using video and thermal imaging surveillance equipment.

The arsenal of the complex includes means of electronic detection and direction finding of drones, active radar, video and optoelectronic tracking, as well as a radio suppression subsystem.

"Sapsan-Bekas" can detect drones at a distance of up to 10 kilometers. The suppression of communications and UAV control is carried out at a distance of more than 6 kilometers.

Radio suppression of the UAV as part of the complex is carried out by the Luch subsystem. It affects the navigation, control and information transmission channels of the drone, emitting interference simultaneously in 11 bands. The system works on the principle of "friend or foe" - "Luch" does not affect UAVs, information about which is previously entered into the database of the complex.
