The announcement of the version for Nintendo Switch was made in yesterday's episode of Nintendo Indie World. The broadcast also featured limited-time Nintendo Switch console exclusives, including action adventure Blue Fire ΠΈ unusual puzzle I Am Dead. Also, Hidetaka Suehiro announced for the hybrid console the detective RPG The Good Life, and Exit The Gungeon unexpectedly came out on this system and PC.

Hello Games CEO Sean Murray compared The Last Campfire to Pixar short films. Creating small games like this, he says, helps "bring out creativity and new voices" at the studio.

The main character of The Last Campfire is an ember lost in a mysterious place. The player must help him not only return home, but also find the meaning of existence. To do this, you will have to solve many puzzles and overcome a gloomy forest.

In the announcement trailer, the authors showed some puzzles and the process of moving between locations on a boat. A new video allows you to take another look at the fairy-tale world and its strange inhabitants. The style and atmosphere of The Last Campfire resembles an adventure Hob from Runic Games and partly - Journey from thatgamecompany.

The game already has a page on Steam, but it doesn't contain too many details. Gamers will have to β€œgo through the dark forest and overcome all adversity”, β€œsee the most beautiful wild places with mysterious ruins, where lost peoples and strange creatures live”, β€œfind hope and not lose it on their journey”, at the end of which they will light the Last Fire . The description also indicates that the project is being created by the developers of the platformer LostWinds from Frontier Developments. It was released in 2016 and has "very positive" ratings on Steam.
