Laptops with AMD Radeon RX 5600M and RX 5700M should hit the market soon

According to the source, one of the first laptops with new graphics cards will be able to offer a combination of a Ryzen 4000 H-series processor and a Navi 10M GPU. The TechPowerUp resource suggests that with the right frequency and graphics memory speed, the Radeon RX 5600M card will be able to offer performance at the level of the mobile NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and even the GeForce RTX 2060. The older version of the Radeon RX 5700M, in turn, will be able to compete with the upcoming mobile GeForce RTX 2060 Super or existing GeForce RTX 2070.

The arrival of the Radeon RX 5600M could be a pretty good option for relatively affordable gaming laptops. In the desktop segment, the Radeon RX 5600 XT easily delivers high frame rates in Full HD resolution (1920Γ—1080 pixels). And displays with just such a resolution are used in most modern gaming laptops.

As TechPowerUp points out, AMD hasn't cut the mobile Radeon RX 5600M and RX 5700M much. Both cards use the same chips as the desktop versions. The Radeon RX 5600M has 2304 stream processors, 144 TMUs and 64 ROPs. The older version uses 2560 universal processors, 160 texture units and 64 ROPs. The GPU frequency of the younger model is 1190 MHz. The chip automatically overclocks to 1265 MHz. The base frequency of the GPU of the older model is 1620 MHz, and it can automatically increase to 1720 MHz.

The Radeon RX 5600M offers 6 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 192-bit bus. The Radeon RX 5700M has 8 GB of memory with a 256-bit bus. In both cases, the effective memory speed is 12 Gb/s.
