The Elder Scrolls Online's next expansion will take players to Skyrim

While other MMOs release major expansions every two years, The Elder Scrolls Online does so every year. For example, in 2017, players were able to get into Morrowind again. Access to the vibrant Somerset Island began in 2018. And this year, players traveled to the homeland of the Khajiit in Elsweyr. At The Game Awards 2019, Zenimax Online revealed the next phase of The Elder Scrolls Online.

The Elder Scrolls Online's next expansion will take players to Skyrim

After the end of the Season of the Dragon adventure, The Elder Scrolls Online will turn its gaze to Skyrim. The final cutscene for the current story asks players to "explore the dark heart of Skyrim." In addition to this, there will be another adventure that comes with the expansion. It will last a year.

Unfortunately, Zenimax Online will provide details only on January 16, 2020. The full presentation will take place at the HyperX esports arena in Las Vegas. Of course, players will be able to watch the event live on Twitch.

After the One Tamriel update, The Elder Scrolls Online changed the approach to levels greatly. In fact, you can access new content at any time, without having to level up your character to the maximum level. Since then, three major expansions have been released, most recently The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr.

The Elder Scrolls Online is available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
