Rumors: Capcom has canceled the new Dino Crisis, but is preparing several blockbusters

A reputable insider known as Dusk Golem (ResetEra) and AestheticGamer (Twitter), in my microblog shared information about the behind-the-scenes processes at Capcom.

According to AestheticGamer, a new game in the Dino Crisis universe (either a remake or a full-fledged release, it is not specified) has been in development for the past few years, but was eventually canceled: “At the moment, the franchise is still extinct.”

At the same time, AestheticGamer reported that Capcom is not currently working on a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica. The updated version is "not currently in production, not even in pre-production."

Previously, an insider spoke about Capcom's plan take a break for a few years with Resident Evil remakes, however, in the coming financial year (from April 2020 to March 2021), fans can expect two games in the series, including the modernized Resident Evil 3.

“Capcom's 2020 fiscal year is very impressive with four major projects, including a pair of Resident Evils (Resident Evil 3 being one of them). There will also be a fifth release, but it will not be on the same scale as the others. You'll see," intriguing AestheticGamer.

In January, the informant already mentioned the mysterious Resident Evil. It is supposedly a completely new game in the universe, and its release is expected in the 2021 calendar year.

The updated Resident Evil 3 will go on sale April 3 for PC (Steam), PS4 and Xbox One. The remake comes with Resident Evil Resistance, a four-versus-one multiplayer action game.
