Rumors: Konami will release two new Silent Hill

After revelations about Resident Evil 8 an insider known under the pseudonyms Dusk Golem and AestheticGamer, in my microblog shared information about the new parts of the Silent Hill horror series.

Rumors: Konami will release two new Silent Hill

According to the source, in 2018, the Japanese publisher began looking for a third-party studio to help develop two games in the Silent Hill universe - a "soft" restart of the franchise and an adventure in the spirit of Until Dawn.

“It's just a guess, but I think there's a good chance we'll see one or both projects this year. Let's see. I'm not aware of [Konami's] plans or details about these games other than that they exist." warned AestheticGamer.

insider also confessed, which, unlike Resident Evil 8, is not completely sure about the new parts of Silent Hill: two years ago, Konami did deal with both games, but what has happened since then is unknown.

Rumors: Konami will release two new Silent Hill

In December, there was a rumor on the Web that the development of Silent Hill for Konami may return Hideo Kojima. Previously game designer hintedthat his next game will be horror.

And in early January, Silent Hill monster designer Masahiro Ito announced that participates in the creation some new project as a core team member.

The last full-fledged console game in the Silent Hill series is still Silent Hill: Downpour sample of 2012. Ever since in 2015 the publishing house canceled Silent Hills from Kojima's studio, nothing was heard about the continuation of the franchise at all.
