Journalists Edition drew attention to the description of the new official book on the Alien universe. It says that the work will be a prequel about xenomorphs from Cold Iron Studios.
A brief description of the plot of the novel reads: “Dr. Timothy Hoenikker (Timothy Hoenikker) arrived at the Pala station, which is owned by the Weyland-Yutani company. The scientist expected to see alien artifacts, but faced bureaucracy and failed experiments by the facility's employees studying the effects of xenomorph body parts on living beings. It soon becomes clear that there is a person in the state whose actions will cause disaster. Former Marine Victor Rawlings became suspicious and gathered a team of veterans around him. When another portion of Alien eggs arrives at the station, the experiments get out of control. Now all hope is only for experienced soldiers.”
As GameWatcher journalists noted, such prequels often appear several months before the main project. The book will go on sale on July 28, 2020, hinting at the fall release of the multiplayer shooter from Cold Iron Studios. However, the developers have not yet provided any official comments, and not so long ago appeared on the Web that Disney wants to sell its gaming division to FoxNext.
