LG Electronics (LG) has announced that its 2019 ThinQ AI TVs will begin receiving an update to support Apple AirPlay 25 and HomeKit starting July 2.

AirPlay technology allows you to stream videos, photos, music and other content from your Apple devices directly to your big TV screen. Users will be able to stream content from iPhones, iPads and Macs to LG TVs.

As for HomeKit support, it will provide the ability to remotely control LG TVs through Apple devices - using the Home App or through the Siri intelligent assistant. True, only basic functions will be available, such as turning the TV on / off, changing the volume level and selecting the signal source.
