iFixit specialists studied the anatomy of the mid-range smartphone Google Pixel 3A, the official presentation of which just a few days ago.
Recall that the device is equipped with a 5,6-inch FHD + OLED display with a resolution of 2220 Γ 1080 pixels. Damage protection is provided by Dragontrail Glass. An 8-megapixel camera is installed on the front. The resolution of the main camera is 12,2 million pixels.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor is involved. The chip contains eight Kryo 360 computing cores with a clock speed of up to 2,0 GHz, an Adreno 615 graphics accelerator, and a Snapdragon X12 LTE cellular modem. The amount of RAM is 4 GB, the capacity of the flash drive is 64 GB.
An autopsy showed that the smartphone uses Micron memory chips, a Qualcomm WCN3990 wireless module, an NXP 81B05 38 03 SSD902 chip (probably an NFC controller), and components from other manufacturers.
The repairability of the Google Pixel 3A is rated six out of ten. iFixit experts note that many components of the smartphone are modular, which simplifies their replacement. Uses standard T3 Torx fasteners. Disassembly of the device is not particularly difficult. The disadvantage of the design is the use of a large number of ribbon cables.
