The Bluetooth Launch Studio documentation revealed information about a smartphone that has not yet been officially presented, which is being prepared for release by the Taiwanese company HTC.
The device has the code designation 2Q6U. It is claimed that this particular device will be the first HTC smartphone to support fifth-generation (5G) mobile communications.
Unfortunately, there is no information about the technical characteristics of the upcoming novelty yet. But it is reported that the announcement of the device is scheduled for the second half of this year.
At the end of last year that HTC intends to focus on the release of productive smartphones and devices with 5G support. Obviously, the 2Q6U model will combine these features. Thus, the novelty will replenish the range of flagship devices.
According to Strategy Analytics, this year, 5G-enabled smartphones will account for less than 1% of the total shipments of "smart" cellular devices. In 2025, analysts believe, the annual sales of such devices could reach 1 billion units.
