On the website of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), according to the LetsGoDigital resource, information about a Samsung smartphone with a very unusual design has appeared.
We are talking about a device in a folding case. In this case, three joints are provided at once, which allow the device to fold in the form of a parallelepiped.
All facets of such a brick smartphone will be covered by a flexible display. When folded, these sections of the screen can display various useful information - time, notifications, reminders, etc.
Having expanded the device, the user will have at his disposal a kind of tablet with a rather large touch surface. This will activate the corresponding "tablet" interface.
The patent documentation says that the device is planned to be equipped with a USB port and a standard 3,5mm headphone jack. Other characteristics are not disclosed.
Whether Samsung is going to create a commercial smartphone with the proposed design is not yet clear.
