The Chinese company Huawei officially introduced its second smartphone with a flexible display
Despite the fact that the new product costs about $2500, it looks like it will be able to repeat the success of last year's Mate X, which became the first Huawei smartphone with a flexible display and sold well in the home market. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not disclose information about how many copies of the smartphone were prepared for the first sale.
The Mate Xs features a stronger hinge mechanism and a more efficient cooling system. The developers have made the deviceβs display more secure compared to the first model. This was achieved thanks to a two-layer aerospace-grade polyamide coating. It is noteworthy that, per gram, the Huawei Mate Xs display costs about three times more than gold.
The Mate Xs boasts the latest 8-core Kirin 990 5G chip, which is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. When unfolded, the device offers the user an 8-inch OLED display supporting a resolution of 2480 Γ 2200 pixels. Autonomous operation is provided by a 4500 mAh battery with support for 55 W fast charging.
