Information has appeared in the Geekbench database about the new mid-level Sony Xperia smartphone, which appears under the code designation K8220.

It is reported that the device will be based on the Snapdragon 765G processor with an integrated 5G modem. The chip contains eight Kryo 475 computing cores with a clock frequency of up to 2,4 GHz and an Adreno 620 graphics accelerator. The modem provides support for 5G networks with stand-alone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) architectures.

The benchmark indicates the presence of 8 GB of RAM. The Android 10 operating system is used as the software platform.

In the single-core test, the smartphone showed a result of 465 points, in the multi-core test - 1757 points. The Geekbench data also indicates that the base frequency of the processor is 1,8 GHz.

It is possible that Sony will announce a new product in the first quarter of the coming year. The presentation may take place as part of the mobile industry exhibition MWC 2020, which will be held in Barcelona, ​​Spain from February 24 to 27.
