The Redmi brand, owned by the Chinese company Xiaomi, has officially unveiled a new low-cost smartphone - the Redmi 7 device running the Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system with the MIUI 10 add-on.

The device received a 6,26-inch HD + display with a resolution of 1520 Γ— 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Durable Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is responsible for protection against damage. An 84 percent coverage of the NTSC color space is declared.

The screen has a small waterdrop notch in the upper part: the front camera based on an 8-megapixel sensor is installed here. At the back is a dual camera with sensors for 12 million and 2 million pixels.

The electronic β€œheart” of the device is the Snapdragon 632 processor: the chip contains eight Kryo 250 cores with a clock speed of up to 1,8 GHz and an Adreno 506 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM is 2, 3 or 4 GB. The capacity of the flash drive is 16, 32 and 64 GB, respectively. It is possible to install a microSD card.

The equipment includes Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters, a GPS/GLONASS receiver, an FM tuner, a 3,5mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint sensor (in the back of the case).

Responsible for power is a 4000 mAh battery. Dimensions are 158,65 Γ— 76,43 Γ— 8,47 mm, weight - 180 grams.

The Xiaomi Redmi 7 is priced between $100 and $150 depending on the memory size. Sales will start on March 26th.
