The novelty is said to enter the commercial market under the name Honor 9X. The device is credited with the presence of a retractable front camera, hiding in the upper part of the case.

The β€œheart” of the smartphone will allegedly be the not yet officially presented Kirin 720 processor. The expected characteristics of the chip include eight processing cores in a β€œ2 + 6” configuration: while two productive cores will use the ARM Cortex-A76 architecture. The product will include a graphics accelerator Mali-G51 GPU MP6.

The announcement of the Honor 9X model is expected towards the end of the third quarter: presumably, the smartphone will debut in September.

According to IDC estimates, the Chinese company Huawei shipped 59,1 million smartphones in the first quarter of this year, which corresponds to 19,0% of the global market. Now Huawei is in second place in the list of leading smartphone manufacturers.
