Xiaomi Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite smartphones will receive a Snapdragon 700 Series processor

The editor-in-chief of the XDA Developers resource, Mishaal Rahman, published information about the new Xiaomi smartphones - the Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite devices, which will replace the models Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite (in pictures).

The novelties appear under the code names bamboo_sprout and cosmos_sprout. Apparently, the devices will join the ranks of Android One smartphones.

Mishaal Rahman reports that the devices will receive a Snapdragon 700 Series processor. It could be Snapdragon 710 or Snapdragon 712 chip.

The Snapdragon 710 combines eight Kryo 360 cores clocked at up to 2,2GHz, an Adreno 616 graphics accelerator, and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engine.

In turn, the Snapdragon 712 solution contains two Kryo 360 cores with a clock speed of 2,3 GHz and six Kryo 360 cores with a frequency of 1,7 GHz. The Adreno 616 accelerator is busy processing graphics.

The new smartphones will reportedly receive a stock version of the Android 9 Pie operating system. The devices are credited with having a 32-megapixel front camera and a fingerprint scanner integrated into the display area.

The announcement of Xiaomi Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite is expected this coming summer. The price of new products is not reported.
