Snap has announced its third-generation Spectacles smart glasses. The new model is noticeably different from the Spectacles 2 version.
The new smart glasses are equipped with two HD cameras, with which you can shoot 3D POV video at 60 frames per second, as well as take photos. These videos and photos can be sent wirelessly to your phone, add Snapchat 3D effects, and share them with your friends on this app.
The resolution of photos and video taken with the Spectacles 3 cameras remained the same as in the previous model - 1642 Γ 1642 pixels and 1216 Γ 1216 pixels, respectively, but in Spectacles 3 the duration of the recorded video increased to 1 minute (from 10 seconds for its predecessor).
The body of the glasses is made of stainless steel. Unlike the previous model, the novelty is not protected from moisture.
The Spectacles 3 smart glasses will go on sale in November for $380 and are already available for pre-order at Spectacles.com. For comparison, the previous Spectacles 2 is priced at $150.
