As published on the site Oracle Solaris Blog
, 2019-05-29 the Solaris 11.4 SRU 9 operating system update has been released, which offers a series of regular fixes and improvements for the Solaris 11.4 branch.
To install the fixes proposed in the update, users simply need to run the 'pkg update' command.
What's new and what's been updated:
- Hardware Management Pack has been updated to version 2.4.6 with support for Mellanox CX5 25G network adapter and AIC Aura8;
- Became available Oracle Explorer 19.2 (toolkit for construction of a detailed profile of a configuration and state of system);
- New Python modules tempora, portend, setuptools_scm, required for CherryPy support, have been included;
- PHP bindings for Graphviz PHP updated to version 7;
- The gmime 3.2.3 package has been added and is now bundled with the previously available gmime 2.6.23;
- Also, Ruby 2.6, Node.js 8.15.1, pycups 1.9.74, pinentry 1.1.0, libgpg-error 1.31, tmux 2.8, Firefox 60.6.3esr, GNU coreutils 8.30, Automake 1.16.1 have been updated.
- Vulnerabilities in packages were also fixed (packages were updated) by fixing vulnerabilities: gnupg 2.2.8 (libassuan 2.5.1 and gpgme 1.11.1 also added), libgcrypt 1.8.3, webkitgk 2.22.6, binutils 2.32, Apache httpd 2.4.39 , Apache Tomcat 8.5.39, Wireshark 2.6.8, pcre 8.42, Thunderbird 60.6.1, setuptools 39.x, pip 10.x, django 1.11.20.
