Sony postpones June 5th PS4 game show

Just two days ago, Sony announced an upcoming event dedicated to games for the PlayStation 5. However, a lot has changed since then (I think, primarily due to the riots in the US), so the Japanese company decided to postpone the presentation.

On the official PlayStation account on the microblogging network Twtter, the company wrote a few mean words:

β€œWe have decided to postpone the PlayStation 5 event scheduled for June 4th. While we understand that gamers around the world are looking forward to showcasing PS5 games, we don't think it's a good time to celebrate, so we've decided to back off a little and let more important voices be heard by the community."

When we should now wait for the presentation expected by many PlayStation fans is unclear. Recall: the event was supposed to show the next generation of games from large and independent studios, which will be available simultaneously with the launch of the PlayStation 5.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the presentation was to be held online and last about an hour. Well, let's hope we don't have to wait too long. Perhaps some studios will still show their new projects on their own this week?
