This time we are not talking about folding smartphones, but about backpacks and bags with an integrated flexible screen. Such a panel, as planned by Sony, will be manufactured using electronic paper technology, which will provide low power consumption and good image readability.

The proposed solution provides for the presence of a battery, a controller and a special switch. The latter will allow you to change the display modes, as well as demonstrate certain pictures.

Curiously, Sony also suggests adding an accelerometer and a temperature sensor to the system. This will automatically switch the image depending on the current environment and user actions.

A patent application was filed by a Japanese corporation back in 2017, but the documentation has only just been made public. About when such backpacks and bags may appear on the commercial market, unfortunately, nothing is reported.
