Sony has unveiled what is claimed to be the world's lightest and most compact premium action camera, the RX0 II, which will be available in the European market in May.
The novelty (model DSC-RX0M2) is enclosed in a case with dimensions of only 59 Γ 40,5 Γ 35 mm, and the weight is 132 grams. The camera is not afraid of diving under water to a depth of 10 meters and falling from a height of two meters.
The novelty uses a 1-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor with 15,3 million pixels. Light sensitivity - ISO 80-12800. ZEISS Tessar T* 24mm F4.0 lens used.
The novelty is equipped with a 1,5-inch display that can be tilted 180 degrees up and 90 degrees down. The shutter speed range is from 1/4 to 1/32 s.
The camera is capable of recording 4K footage at 30 frames per second. The continuous shooting speed is 16 frames per second, and the Super Slow Motion mode allows you to shoot at up to 1000 frames per second.
Among other things, it is worth highlighting the built-in electronic image stabilization system, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.1 wireless adapters, USB and HDMI interfaces.
The Sony RX0 II action camera will be available for an estimated price of 800 euros (complete with the Sony VCT-SGR1 tripod handle).
