The launch was carried out from a special test site in the Kirov region. The rocket rose to a height of 15 kilometers, and the flight speed reached 2500 km / h, which is approximately twice the speed of sound. It is alleged that to date, no private space company in the CIS countries has been able to achieve such results.

β€œVyatka is a prototype of a suborbital rocket that we plan to launch to an altitude of 100 kilometers. Teachers and students of specialized universities, in addition to the scientific community, will be invited to the launch. This is our serious step and a serious application for a presence in the world's private astronautics, ”the NSC said in a statement.

Vyatka is a two-stage rocket about three meters high. As part of the test, on-board telemetry systems, a stage separation system, a rescue and search system were tested.

The next stage of the project implementation will be the launch of a 100 km suborbital rocket using a liquid-propellant rocket engine.
