Web version of Apple Music launched

Last September, the web interface of the Apple Music service was launched, which until recently was in beta version status. All this time, it could be found at beta.music.apple.com, but now users are automatically redirected to music.apple.com.

The web interface of the service largely replicates the appearance of the Music application and contains sections such as “For You”, “Review”, “Radio”, as well as recommendations, playlists, etc. To use the web version of the service, you will need an Apple ID account with Apple Music subscription.

After authorization, the user will have access to all previously saved libraries, playlists and other content that was added during interaction with Apple Music using applications for Mac, iOS and Android. In addition, users will have access to personalized playlists, including playlists of the most played songs for each year of using Apple Music. The web version of the service is available on devices running Windows 10, Linux and Chrome OS.

For new users of the service, a three-month trial period is provided, after which you can choose one of the individual, family or student tariff plans, on the basis of which further interaction with Apple Music will take place. Let us remember that as of last summer, Apple Music had about 60 million paid subscriptions. The ability to use the service in the browser could further boost subscriber growth, allowing Apple Music to compete with Spotify.
