It is reported, in particular, that from December 2018 to May 2019, that is, over the last six months, the average cost of the minimum package tariff for cellular communications in our country, according to Content Review estimates, increased by 3% - from 255 to 262 rubles.

Rosstat data indicates a more significant increase - from 270,2 to 341,1 rubles from December to April for a standard package of services.

Growth rates vary depending on the region, but in general, an increase in the cost of services has been recorded throughout Russia.

The observed picture is explained by several reasons. One of them is the increase in VAT from the beginning of 2019. In addition, Russian operators are forced to compensate for revenue losses due to the cancellation of intranet roaming.

Experts also talk about the end of price wars between operators in the regions. Finally, the rise in prices can be explained by the return of tariffs with unlimited Internet access.

It is not yet clear whether the rise in prices for mobile communication services will continue in the coming months.
