The station complies with the 3GPP Release 14 specification. This standard provides for a throughput of up to 3 Gbps. In addition, compatibility with mobile networks of the fifth generation is ensured: it is possible to implement 5G protocols on the same hardware platform.

β€œIn fact, this is the first domestic base station that is included in the register of Russian-made telecommunications equipment of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and is ready for full implementation in the network,” the Vedomosti newspaper reports, referring to statements by Rostec representatives.

The station uses the 450 MHz frequency band. We are talking about support for VoLTE (Voice-over-LTE) and NB-IoT (Narrow Band Internet of Things) technologies. The first of these systems allows you to make voice calls without leaving the 4G network, and the second provides the ability to deploy networks for data transmission from multiple devices within the concept of the Internet of things.

It is important to note that the new base station is almost completely implemented on the original circuitry developed by Rostec, and the level of production localization exceeds 90%.
