SpaceX builds super-heavy Starship rocket in two states at once

Earlier, the head of the private aerospace company SpaceX, Elon Musk, confirmed to the LA Times that it is building Starship prototypes in Texas, although the development of the spacecraft and Raptor engines is still underway in Hawthorne (California).

Commenting on a snapshot by a NASASpaceflight.com reader, Musk tweeted that "SpaceX is doing simultaneous competitive Starship builds in Boca Chica, Texas and Cape Canaveral, Florida." The plan, he says, is to find out where the work is being done most effectively, although the answer may be "both there and there."
