On December 22, another version of the popular free planetarium Stellarium was released, which renders a realistic night sky as if you were looking at it with the naked eye, or through binoculars or a telescope.
In total, about 100 changes have been made compared to the previous version.
Among the main changes are:
- Direct support for ASCOM in the telescope control plugin on Windows
- GUI refactoring
- Lots of code improvements
- Added and updated many textures of deep sky objects
- Improvements to the Deep Sky Object Catalog
- Many improvements to the Astronomical Calculus tool
