Stellarium 0.20.2

Stellarium 0.20.2

On June 22, the anniversary version 0.20.2 of the popular free planetarium Stellarium was released, which renders a realistic night sky as if you were looking at it with the naked eye, or through binoculars or a telescope.

The anniversary of the release lies in the age of the project - 20 years ago Fabienne Chereau (Fabien Chereau) was puzzled by the issue of loading a new discrete video card.

In total, between versions 0.20.1 and 0.20.2, 135 changes were made, of which we can highlight (major changes):

  • Lots of changes to the planetarium core and Astronomical Computing tool.
  • Lots of changes to the Script Engine and Script Console.
  • Many changes in the plug-ins "Eyepieces" and "Satellites".
  • Update of the catalog of deep sky objects (v3.10).
