SuperTuxKart is a 3D arcade racing game. It is intended for a wide audience of players. The game offers an online mode, a local multiplayer mode, as well as a single player mode against AI, which has both single-player racing and a story mode in which new maps and tracks can be unlocked. The story mode also includes Grand Prix, where the goal is to get the most points across multiple races. The game also has additional game modes, in addition to the usual races: test of time, follow the leader, football, capture the flag and two combat options.

Improved gamepad support, now uses the SDL2 library instead of Irrlicht. Thanks to this, SuperTuxKart now supports hot plugging of the gamepad, button remapping is simplified.

In the Android version, all official tracks are now included in the release build.

New "Cartoon" theme with an alternative set of icons.

Any car, even from add-ons, can now be used online, even if other players do not have it.
