SUSE acquires NeuVector to strengthen container security

SUSE SA announced on October 28, 2021 that it has acquired NeuVector, Inc., a container security company.

NeuVector was founded in 2015 by Fei Huang and Gary Duan. Headquartered in San Jose, California, NeuVector serves all industries, including highly regulated ones such as financial services and the public sector.

The total acquisition is $130 million, with $101 million in cash from SUSE's existing cash and $29 million through the issuance of 695853 new shares.

Looking forward to the successful integration of SUSE and Rancher, the company sees equally significant cross-selling opportunities in SUSE and Rancher's customer base. The combined offering is expected to boost SUSE's sales conversion rate and open up new opportunities to expand the company's cloud business. NeuVector is an established and growing business that will drive SUSE's revenue growth. In FY 2022, SUSE will invest in the combined product of NeuVector and SUSE Rancher in the marketplace, with the expectation that this will further accelerate earnings growth in FY 2023.
